Digital Animation

Ulann Naran means "Red Sun" in Mongolian. This short film tells the story of a Japanese war orphan fleeing with his mother across the post-war Mongolian steppe.

"As the smoke clears over the Mongolian steppe, a fiery red sun rises. The wind from Xing'an blows from the east. She stands in the wind, and from that moment, the cold no longer touches her."
